Ars Technica reports: Asus is first to the party with a Thunderbolt 2-certified motherboard

Highly regarded technology site Ars Technica reported today that Asus is first to the party with a Thunderbolt 2-certified motherboard. The article's byline is "Other devices, including the new Mac Pro, will follow." Synchrotech finds this news of Thunderbolt 2 being immediately available exciting, as well as the article's announcement that USB 3.1 devices should be available in the next six months or so. Seeing both of these technologies add capabilities and increase their capacities for speed is exciting news for consumers.
